Official NY General Knowledge: What to Expect
The key to passing the New York CDL exam is preparation – and to help you prepare we have created a new NY CDL General Knowledge Practice Test Simulator. This is the second test in our General Knowledge series, and it features 50 additional questions based on the material and subject matter found in the NY CDL manual. You can expect questions topics ranging from safe vehicle operation to handling emergencies.

These are examples of the types of questions that are on this practice test. You need to answer at least 80% of the questions correctly in order to pass. If you do not pass immediately, don’t worry, you can take the test an unlimited number of times. To help you study, this test also has a handy progress tracker and a Missed Questions Bank feature designed to store your missed questions for later review.
